Winter has many good traits. It’s a great excuse to:
-wear all of your clothes at once
-drink loads of hot chocolate
-cozy up with a good book all day
-act like a little kid when it snows
-put on a hat without feeling silly
…buuuut sometimes I wish it was shorter. What’s your favorite way to beat the winter blues?
Happily Yours,
CH

My favorite way to beat the winter blues is to read my favorite blogs while sipping a hot cup of hazlenut coffee with extra cream in it.
hmmm shorter..like the month of winter we get in SC? I’m struggling with the same feeling in France! Best of luck in the Big Apple!
A huge down comforter on the couch. Which I tuck myself under and read books and sip mug after mug of hot chocolate and consume large amounts of freshly baked french bread.
Sadly my tropical country has never known a true winter, so I can’t really share any personal techniques to beat the winter blues. I do love the pictures, though.
Peppermint mochas, sketching, and watching Project Runway and Launch my Line amongst other reruns with my little sister and dogs.
I love to get under the covers and watch tv or read a book. That’s how I beat the coldness. Then again, I live in Texas, so the cold isn’t tooo cold here.
I love to read my bible, sew and go to school online and learn everything I can so that by Spring I have achieved my personal, spiritual goals for the new year. It is amazing what you can do in the winter!
On a clear sunny day, I’ll bundle up and go down to the oceanfront for a walk and then stop in for a drink to warm up: an irish coffee at a spot with rocking chairs and fire pits so between the sunshine, the brisk walk, the whisky and the flames, I warm up pretty nicely and feel re-energized by the sound, sight and scent of the atlantic.
A steaming cup of tea, some excellent snuggles from a 3 year old, a pile of knitting or sewing in my lap…Cozy! I too wish winter were shorter. Kinda wishing that right now…
You have no winter blues when you live in a place that stays green year round. It makes a wonderful vacation to visit and play in the snow. I’m thankful I don’t have to deal with it daily. You do have an eye for beautiful things.
The best way to beat the winter blues …if there’s snow on the ground of course,:P is to bundle up and get out there in the snow with the family and go sledding! When your done sledding and your good and tired, it’s time to snuggle up with a cup of hot chocolate, a big fluffy blanket, the family, and a movie!
I do all of the above! I love to make a warm pot of loose leaf tea and snuggle up for some reading or movie watching
love the photos, love your blog, love you ~~
(Best wishes from China.)
