I was a big fan of yours on PR. I'm a big fan of your collection on etsy & your blog. So imagine my happiness when I see your post about Team In Training. I trained for a marathon in 2007 with TNT. I ran the San Diego Rock n' Roll half-marathon that year while 4 months pregnant, and I'm nothing remotely close to a superwoman. So if I can do it you definitely can. The feeling you get while in the middle of your race, looking around at all those other purple TNT jerseys, with all their reasons for running & fundraising written all over their backs... it's something indescribable. I was in tears while on the course (not just because of the hormones) because you feel all this strength from their sorrows - the people they've lost to blood cancers, and all those things that brought them to this race right alongside you. It really brings life into perspective. Congratulations on making this choice to do something very big to help others. You won't be disappointed in your TNT experience. Do the training and it will be fine. I did the marathon after doing the training and before I started the training, I hadn't run more than a mile in my life. I'm a total wimp and I did it. In my pace group there was a 93 year old man who was on his 4th marathon. There was a woman who had just gone through chemo for breast cancer. There were people who had had knee surgery and back surgery. It made me realize what a wuss I was in my mind (which is the REAL obstacle in the marathon) and it kept me going. Having a pace group really helps, too. It pushes you to keep going. You can TOTALLY do it. It will be awesome. If I get this job I'm up for, I'll be happy to donate...keep reminding us....
