Summer is my favorite season by far. I feel like NYC in the summer is a whole different city. Adventures seem to lurk around every corner, ready to pounce on you regardless of how much work you need to do that day or what other plans you’ve made. If you’re going to be in the city during the summer, or you live here and need some adventuring inspiration, here are a few of my favorites:
Governor’s Island – hop on the ferry, bring or rent a bike, and explore this little island that is 100% park.
Williamsburg Flea Market (Sundays): vintage treasuring at its best. Smorgasburg (Saturdays): all local food vendors right on the Brooklyn Waterfront
Outdoor movies – all over the city, but my favorite spot is Bryant Park every Monday night
Brooklyn Crab- this amazing, brand new place has mini golf, cornhole, bocci, enormous outdoor patios with views of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan, and makes you feel like you’ve just come off the beach.
