Real Weddings: Meet Mary

November 1st, 2011

Mary isn’t just a bride- she may, in fact, be a wedding wizard.

I had the pleasure of helping Mary choose her gown at our trunk show early this year at Sash & Bustle in Toronto, and we had such a good time hanging out with her family!  As she described her vision for her wedding, I knew it was going to be something really special.  Fast forward many months, and the result is this completely enchanting set of photos thanks to Alex Neary of Wild Eyed Photography.

With hand pleated ruffles and tea-dyed silk, the Anson Street gown’s organic and textural feel perfectly complemented the woodland venue and vintage details.

Congrats Mary and Ben!

Happily Yours,

Carol Hannah

Carol, the dress you created became the centrepiece to the art-laden celebration I had always imagined. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and I will cherish your dress forever. Thank you and much love.

You are such an amazing and talented designer. I recently celebrated Indian new year and I wanted to know if you also design any Indian Sari’s or Lenghas (Wedding dresses). You are very talented Carol Hannah, and I would love to see your dressed with beads, crystals and embroidery!
