Spring 2013 is here!
This collection is inspired by the luxe garden parties of F. Scott Fitzgerald. I’m a pretty serious bookworm, and spent the last year reading my way through all of Fitzgerald’s work. I love the images he paints of his characters in these lush garden celebrations. I can see the twinkling stars, the glint of champagne glasses, the breeze flowing softly through layers of chiffon. Such a lovely picture.

“Let’s Play Pretend”

We’ve added some really fun pieces to the online store this week! I’m really looking forward to wearing lots of COLOR this spring and summer, especially bright pops of berries and orange shades!
We’ve started adding my vintage collection to the shop as well. I dig up so many fun little treasures at vintage shops and Brooklyn flea markets. We have lots of reconstructed vintage dresses on their way, but for now enjoy these accessories!

A huge congrats to Shelley, who works for one of our Bella Bridesmaid stores! How fun to see her on the other side of the process. Shelley chose a combination of styles for her bridesmaids in various shades of gray. {I think this is always a great way to go, as having different silhouettes and colors mean that each gal is in the most flattering dress for her.} Shelley also chose our Oyster Jacket as a topper for her lovely gown.
I’m also a big fan of the floral choices here- look how many colors she used and how nicely they complement each other! The neutral dress palette really lets the flowers pop without fighting with other aspects of the wedding.
Congratulations Shelley! We are so happy for you!

I really love the details of Beth’s beachside wedding. With its soft ivory tulle layers and organza pieced lace embroidered with metallic gold, Hasell Street was the perfect gown for this unique event! I especially like the way she used modern touches like stripes and patterned pennants along side more traditional wedding elements like throwing birdseed and the classic car.

This inspirational photoshoot is the result of the collaboration of several very talented people. I love how at home the Sweet Bay dress and Mulberry gown look at the beautiful Baiting Hollow horse rescue farm and vineyard on Long Island. The organic touches, simple and fresh color scheme, and natural styling of the details creates such a lovely vision of romance as well. Enjoy!

This past weekend included two runway shows for us! I had the pleasure of showing the Spring 2012 collection during Fashion Week New Orleans (as well as visiting that amazing city for the first time!), and we also previewed two new pieces of the upcoming Spring 2013 collection at Charleston Fashion Week, partnering with Maddison Row and Bella Bridesmaid.
