We are finding that more and more of our clients are opting for fresh flowers in their hair instead of a traditional veil or headpiece, and we are loving the results. Here are some lovely examples of perfectly balanced placement and thoughtful coordination of types of flowers with our Winchester and Monticello gowns, shot by the ever talented Corbin Gurkin.

A single peony bloom with Winchester.

Sweet peas, hasta, white licorice plant, hallemore, tillandsia, coral belles, and lily of the valley.

Lily of the Valley, miniature ivy and white licorice plant wreath paired with Monticello gown.

Verbena flowers in vintage lace veil.

Helleborus wreath with midori feather velvet ribbon in dusty rose.

I recently spent the weekend with our newest retailer: The Sentimentalist in Atlanta, Georgia. Cute enough to make me jealous, this spacious and adorable new shop is a must for the Atlanta bride-to-be. Mother and daughter team Gabi and Krista have curated a beautiful collection of vintage pieces, accessories, and of course, our gowns!
{Not to mention that working with fellow southern gals is always icing on the cake!}
Meet Krista
Krista is a tea-drinking, heirloom-shopping lady versed in all things Atlanta, etiquette, and lovely. Born, raised, and married in the shop’s neighborhood, she is a naturally sentimental gal who holds dear her family, home, and grade-school sweetheart. After a career in nursing and a lifetime of being everyone’s go-to tastemaker, she found her fit in the finery of bridal fashion.
Meet Gabi
Gabi is a peach with time spent on the West Coast, planning parties and playing with wedding dresses. After learning from the best with Portland’s sweetest bridal boutique and favorite planning group, Gabi was excited to move home and bring some of her favorite independent designers with her. She has an eye for fit, a tendency for vintage, and a passion for color. She believes in lipstick, soul food, and old trucks, and she just loves helping brides find their perfect dress mate.
Y’all make sure to head over and take a peek for yourselves!
Happily Yours,
Carol Hannah
This custom project was so much fun. I love that our brides aren’t afraid to break the “rules” to express their style, so I jumped at the chance to design Lezli’s peacock blue cocktail length dress. Add a crazy awesome pair of sparkly Valentino shoes, jewelry designed by the bride herself, and the fact that both the bride and groom are performers, and you’ve got yourself a rock and roll rooftop wedding overlooking Scottsdale, Arizona.

Many thanks to Imagine Photography for sharing these photos.

We recently had the chance to be involved with a Grey Likes Weddings styling workshop by loaning them a gown to shoot, and boy, howdy, are we glad we did! The resulting images of the Chambord gown really make me smile. You can check out the full post over on their blog, but here are my favorites.
